Job Captain
The Opportunity
As the primary production lead, you won't just be "doing drawings"; you will be have a pivotal lead on developing technical standards. You will work directly with the Principals to translate design concepts into flawless, constructible reality.
Core Responsibilities
Primary Production: Own the Revit model from SD through CD. You will be the "hands-on" lead responsible for the heavy lifting of the drawing sets.
Site Plan Design Assist: Assist in producing conceptual site plans in aCAD.
Project Leadership: Coordinate with MEP, Structural, and Civil consultants to ensure integrated, clash-free sets.
Code Mastery: Conduct deep-dive code research (IBC, ADA, and local zoning) and implement findings directly into the project detailing.
Agency Interface: Manage the permitting process, including preparing submittal packages and addressing plan check comments with local jurisdictions.
Operational Input: As the first hire, you will provide critical feedback on workflow efficiency, software needs, and future production hiring.
Technical Requirements
Experience: 3–8 years in a professional architectural setting, preferably within the industrial, warehouse, or commercial sectors.
Revit Power-User: You must be expert-level in Revit. Since you are the primary production person, you need to be fast, organized, and capable of troubleshooting complex model issues independently.
Construction Logic: A deep understanding of how buildings are actually put together. You should be comfortable detailing Tilt-Up concrete, steel assemblies, and high-performance envelopes.
Agility: The ability to pivot between multiple projects in a fast-paced, "startup" environment.
Salary Range
$70,000 - $90,000 / year base salary
Plus quarterly profit sharing.

Production Coordinator
The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Architectural Production Coordinator to drive the execution and delivery of our drawing sets at Tandem Architecture Group. In this role, you will act as the bridge between design intent and technical execution, managing BIM models, coordinating with consulting engineers, and ensuring that our documentation meets rigorous quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
Document Control & Production: Lead the assembly, formatting, and delivery of architectural drawing sets across all project phases (SD, DD, CD, and CA).
Model Management: Maintain and organize Revit models and AutoCAD files, ensuring project templates and drafting standards are followed.
Consultant Coordination: Act as the point of contact for MEP, structural, and civil consultants to ensure models and drawing sets are fully coordinated and clash-free.
QA/QC & Markups: Drive the internal quality control process, executing and tracking redlines utilizing Bluebeam Revu.
Code Compliance Support: Assist the architectural team with the detailing and documentation required for code compliance.
Workflow Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline production, whether through Revit scripting, AutoCAD field expressions, or standardizing detail libraries.
Technical Requirements
Experience: No professional experience required.
Technical Proficiency: Autodesk Revit experience is required. Experience with Enscape, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam is preferred.
Education: Hold a degree in architecture from a program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
Compensation
$60,000 / year base salary.

Project Manager
The Opportunity
In this role, you will not only manage projects from conceptual design through construction administration, but you will also be hands-on in the day-to-day design and documentation process. You will serve as a central point of communication, balancing our design intent with project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
Core Responsibilities
Design & Documentation Lead: Actively produce and manage technical documentation across all project phases (SD, DD, and CD).
Project Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure profitable and timely delivery. Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts.
Client & Consultant Coordination: Serve as the primary client contact and coordinate external consultants (structural, MEP, civil, landscape) to seamlessly integrate their work into our central models.
Code & Permitting Mastery: Conduct comprehensive code research (building code, zoning, ADA) and efficiently manage the permitting process with local jurisdictions.
Construction Administration (CA): Lead the CA phase, including reviewing shop drawings, submittals, answering RFIs, conducting site visits, and managing close-out documentation.
Team Leadership & QC: Direct and mentor architectural staff, review drawing sets for accuracy, and champion our technological standards (including Revit and custom Dynamo scripts).
Technical Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in an architectural firm, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
Education & Licensure: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an NAAB-accredited program. Registered Architect status is strongly preferred.
Software: Deep proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows. Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Enscape, and Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Strong command of building materials, construction methods, and complex code compliance.
Compensation
$100,000 - $125,000 / year base salary
Plus 25% quarterly profit sharing.
